One of the characteristics of the Samsung Galaxy S9 is its beautifully curved screen. Installing a screen protector on won’t be as simple as it might be with a flatter screen. But no worries guys— Griffin Survivor Glass Screen Protector has the same curves as your screen, and this 5 mm-thin tempered glass fits possibly on any cases including a rugged case on the market, Now, let’s check it out!
Three times shatter protection
Looking at pictures and watching videos on your phone will look brighter when it’s clean and without scratches. That’s why it’s important to have a double tempered glass like this survivor glass tested with a 9H scratch-resistance tempered glass which means it’s ready to be hit by keys, tabletops, and other elements. It’s double tempered glass so it should be strong.
The double tempered glass consists of micro-polishing which won’t ever touch your phone's Retina HD display, so your pictures and movies will look bright at all times. The anti-fingerprint coating has a micron-thin, anti-oil coating that keeps fingerprints and oils from ruining the screen. In my experience, this anti-fingerprint coating helps although there was still a bit of smudge but not as many as other tempered glass.
The best thing about this double tempered glass is that it fits perfectly on any phone cases out there. It fits in perfectly on Kate Spade, UAG, and Strada leather. It even fits in the most rugged case such as the Otterbox Defender and Griffin Survivor. Here’s the list of cases that fits very well with the double tempered glass from Survivor.
Be mindful that this double tempered glass from Survivor is not fully adhesive. There will be a gap between the screen protector and the screen. The glue sticks only on the edges of the screen protector. Though is not fully glued to the screen, this double tempered screen protector has no rainbow effects when I press it hard. Make sure to not hit it hard with a key because in my experience this double tempered glass did crack on the edges, but thankfully it didn’t shatter. The weak point of any curved glass is the edges so keep being careful with the sides.
What you get in the box
Tempered glass screen protector

In conclusion, I like having tempered screen protectors as they feel more natural than plastic. Moreover, it's quite thin glass for a double tempered glass which is only 5 mm. I have not had any impact on the ability to use to navigate the device. Viewing has also been perfect through the screen protector.
However, there are some downsides to note. There will be a gap in the middle between the screen protector and your screen. Another minus is the fact that it’s anti-scratch, yes, it’s clean from scratches but not from cracking. It will only break if you hit it too hard with a sharp item like keys but no worries- it won't shatter and hit your valuable S9 screen.
Overall, if you’re a type of person who likes to change different cases every week and looking for a friendly-case screen protector, the Griffin Screen Protector is the one.
