I love natural products so, I bought the House of Marley No Bounds Bluetooth Waterproof Outdoor Speaker. Now let’s have a look at the small portable speaker I bought from House of Marley.
My First Impression
Out of the box, I find the speaker to be lightweight, and simple. There must be some kind of protection with the speaker since there’s a robust dust cover.
Build-quality
I think The House of Marley No Bounds Bluetooth Waterproof Outdoor Speaker is like other House of Marley speaker which uses natural material for their speakers. There’s a robust dust cover conceals the aux and USB-C ports. this means I won’t nee to worry about going to the beach and the sand, dust and dirt getting inside.
I can feel the outer bumper is made from recycled silicone. I think the grille is made out od rewind fabric made from hemp, cotton and recycled plastic. The speaker comes with an aluminium carabiner clip and charging cable wrapped in the same Rewind fabric.
Usability
My only complaint is that it’s a bit tricky to see in low lighting since the buttons are lightly embossed in the silicone rather than printed. So, it's hard to know which button is for power and which button is for volume.
Another thing is there’s no support for Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri here, and there’s no app for adjusting sound profiles. Although the speaker doesn’t deliver quite as much bass, the sound is impressively loud. The speaker also has great battery life.
