Are you wondering about the differences of the Speck Presidio Grip Impactium Case and Speck Presidio Sport Case? These cases have the same rubbery feeling on the hand with 3 metres drop protection but which case is more nice on the hand and more protected?
Speck Presidio Grip Impactium Case
Some people just love how easy the access on the ports where you just plug it in without opening the ports. The case leaves a huge hole down at the bottom of the lightning port which will certainly give you plenty of lightning cables.
Removing the case once in a while is nice to clean out the inside of the case because the dust and dirt can work its way into the case because it has no port covers.
The slim design case has rubber ridges at the back, which will be really easy to hold. It's lightweight and feels really great on my hand like a rubbery feeling, and I can also bend it.
The grip lines at the back of the case makes it easy for my fingers to grasp onto which laid out aligned right where I rest my palm. The rubber will peel overtime and I doubt about the 3 metres drop protection as the case is too slim.
Speck Presidio Sport Case
The Speck Presidio Sport case is made with a Microban Antimicrobial Technology which protects your case against the growth of bacteria. So, for those of you who like everything clean, you’re going to love this case.
In terms of design, this dove case has a soft feeling because it’s combined with rubber and dove material. The rubber protects it from drops, and the ridges in the case protect and absorb the shocks.
The back cover is slippery on my hand but not slippery on the table. The raised bezel is also pretty high, so it can protect your screen if you drop it facing the screen first.
The downside is that the switch button at the side is hard to press, but the volume and Bixby button is alright, and the notification sound can’t really be heard as the rubber inside the speaker holes are thick.
The Similarities

Both of the cases have impactium shock barrier with 3 metres drop-tested, but they both have different layers. The Speck Presidio Sport has three layers of protection while the Speck Presidio Grip has two layers.
So, I can say the most protected one is the Speck Presidio Sport case, it’s also bulkier, scratch-ressistant, closed ports which keep away dust and debris and lastly protected from drops with full rubber on the case.
The Difference

Obviously, the design of both cases is different. The Speck Presidio Sport is bulkier, and the Speck Presidio Grip is thin and lightweight. The grippy feeling is also different since the Speck Presidio Sport has full rubber on the case while the Speck Presidio Grip only has the rubber on the ridges.
The protection is more with the Speck Presidio Sport as it has the ports to keep dust away, full rubber case, and a higher raised bezel.
The high raised bezel on the Speck Presidio Sport case also leaves a gap between the screen and floor, which will be great when you accidentally drop it facing screen first.

ConclusionsÂ
The Speck Presidio Sport Case is one of the best dove cases with drop protection because of the full rubber on the case because rubber and dove combination is more scratch-resistant than rubber and plastic. If you like your ports covered, worried about germs, and have great drop-proof protection, then you can choose Speck Presidio Sport case.
The closed ports on The Speck Presidio Sport Case is great for dust and debris but make sure you got a long nail to open it. Another thing is that I can’t hear the notification sound as the rubber inside the speaker hole is too much and blocks the notification sound.
While the Speck Presidio Grip Impactium Case is slim with rubber ridges at the back, easy access on the ports, no need to open and close the ports. It’s the one to choose for a slim rubbery case but remember that the rubber wears out easily, and no closed ports to stay away from dust but it’s the grippiest case on the hand.
Overall, the most grippy case is the Speck Presidio Grip Impactium Case, and the most protected case is The Speck Presidio Sport Case.
