Today I’m going to review the Tech 21 Evo Elite case. This is a slim and lightweight case but is the case as elite as the name? Let's have a look below.
My first impression on Tech21 Evo Elite Flexshock Case was I think the white bumper will get dirty one day and yes, it did. The bumper got dirty before one week of usage, and this makes my phone looks ugly now.
The case feels so slim and light on my hand. Holding the case is grippy at the side but slippery at the back. It looks like it’s a matte polycarbonate on the back, and feels a bit slippery. Covers for the buttons are easy to press, and I get the tactile feedback when I press on them. Installing and removing this case is also very simple.
The bottom part of the case isn’t straight, so the cut-outs on the bottom goes a bit over the back which is too large I think and leave a bit of space for nothing that can lead to dropping issues. This occurs with the camera cut-outs too. Although the cut-outs for the camera is thick but the width is a bit too large.
The white bumper can gets dirty easily, and the back of the case is also slick so this means you’re taking a lot of risks when handling the phone with the case on. The scratch resistant case doesn’t even ressist scratches from your fingernails. I can see tiny scratches when looking very closely.
|Things that I find amazing:||Things that I find annoying:|
I think the case is not as elite as the name of the case and costs a bit high for a simple light case. It cost around A$ 69.95 for the Samsung Galaxy S9. Although the back of the case is slippery, the bumper feels a bit grippy. The buttons are clicky and easy to press.
The cut-outs for the ports are easy to access, but I don’t think it’s necessary to have a lot of space for the cut-outs that go until the back of the case as it can be dangerous when drop facing the bottom or the back of the case. The white bumper gets dirty easily too.
However, if you do like slim cases with accessible ports and don’t mind about the slippery handling, you can have a try on buying this case. So, that’s all about my honest review on the Tech 21 Evo Elite case. If you have any experience with this clear case, you can share here and let me know what you think.
